"Bangus Fiesta" at Green Mango fastfood restaurant

Bangus lovers certainly would welcome the newest addition to Green Mango's menu. Take your pick from perfectly fried bangus , appetizingly grilled bangus or sumptuous bangus sinigang . Each order comes with "unlimited rice" to fully satisfy one's hunger. Green Mango Grilled Bangus comes in thick and boneless slices (look at those " tyan ") with green mango atchara and perfect sawsawan combo of toyo-calamansi and sili . Extra rice please! Green Mango Fried Bangus also comes in thick and boneless slices dipped in flour (mainly to to minimize the " talsik " of the oil when frying) and a a tomato ketchup dip. Another cup of rice please! And finally Green Mango Bangus Sinigang . A classic Pinoy soup dish with boneless bangus slices and the usual sinigang vegetables; string beans, radish and greens. I actually finished a cup rice only with the broth so it surely is a "rice magnet". So it's just fitting for me to say "A bucket ...

Green Mango fastfood at Nelly Garden

I've been very vocal on how much I really liked the newest branch of Green Mango (and Coffeebreak). Located in front of an Iloilo icon, to some it may have somewhat destroyed this landmark, but it's design gave way for a much better way to appreciate the mansion. Unlike the other building fronting of the mansion, this new one purpsoedly opened it's doors to the said mansion by having an al fresco area at the back (instead of using it as parking). And because of this, I heard that Nelly Garden will improve that part of their garden to live up to the expectations. My visit that time was for a taste test of Green Mango's (and Coffeebreak's) latest additions to their menu. The former now includes the Pinoy's favorite fish, bangus , either fried, grilled or sinigang (with unlimtied rice too) dubbed as Bangus Fiesta . The latter, a selection of six new drinks called Iced Coffee Jellies . What's make Green Mango a magnet for diners is their line up of less expensi...

Buko-cherry cooler

Even if it was just an on-the spot-invention, this bowl of consisiting of crushed ice, coconut meat slices, cherry, milk, sugar and cherry essence was perfect to counter the searing heat brought about by the El Nino phenomenon.

Vegetarian chicharon: It's guilt free

This is my addiction of the moment: Marty's Cracklings by Oishi otherwise known as vegetarian chicharon. Aside from having a great "crunch", it comes in salt and vinegar flavour that makes it even more appetizing. It's sold in most grocery stores for less than PhP 20.

This one-stop, fine dining resto boasts of its own recipes dating back to 1803. The Gustavian is the first of its kind to concoct home-style, freshly made products ranging from artisan country breads, sugar-free jams, fresh cold cuts, European style sausages, smoked meats and seafood, dairy products, sausages, various kinds of cheese, pickles and wide array of organic food products.
