Barquillos so thick

Barquillos are often seen (also imagined) as thin rolls of crisp wafers. Seeing thick ones, around 3-4 rolls of wafer is just too enticing not to get one. When I bought piaya crisps last week, these thick rolled barquillos caught my attention that I really came back for them the next time I went on blog buying. This pack of 4 from Susannah's costs around PhP26 pesos but it was worth it. You get what you paid for in every bite!

Buco-pandan and ube barquillos

These barquillos from Susannah's were so pleasing to the eyes that I got them without thinking twice. I know they will just be another coloured and flavoured variety of barquillos but there something that made me buy them. When I opened them at home, I was surprised that they really tasted and smelled like buco-pandan and ube that made me regret buying only these few. Each pack having 9 or 10 pieces (can't be sure though) costs PhP15. I really liked the buco-pandan barquillos. Aside from tasting like what it was named after, it was really pleasing to look at (lol) not to mention eating them.

Susannah's piaya crisps

I really love this reinvention of the piaya . A piaya made into a cookie and it's aptly named as piaya crisps for there is such (crispiness) in every bite. Its thin but not flaky, soft and crumbly as the piaya we all know. For comparison, it's like galletas that easily breaks. It comes in different flavours like the original honey molasses, plus ube, mango, langka and cassava. It's much more expensive though since a pack consisting of 4 pieces costs PhP30, the average cost of a regular pack of piaya having around 8 pieces. But it's worth it.

Piaya Crisps: Love the crunch!

It was its novelty that made me buy this at their stall in SM City. Piaya Crisps , so thin that they literally didn't have filling and sort of became biscuits. At first I thought it was so-so until I find myself addicted to it. Even the simple honey-molasses flavor can make you crave for this piaya innovation by Susannah's cottage industries. c/o QUEENSK9 of PEX Now, another item added to my MUST TRY list. Each pack cost a litte more than PhP25 .
