Our usual centerpiece

A "lechon kawali" often finds itself being the centerpiece in any of our luncheon for special occasion or just weekend lunch. Sometimes even during an everybody-lazy-to-cook day. Of course, its presentation depends on the event. Actually it's very easy to prepare. Its just pork belly seasoned with salt and pepper softened by boiling, a day before, then turbo broiled until golden brown. Each family member gets his/her own favorite sauce. Mine would be banana catsup with calamansi and chili peppers. Thanks to our aging turbo broiler we can have a turbo broiled "lechon-kawali" anytime

Turbo-broiler: Creating our usual center-piece

One of our most trusted cooking equipment, the turbo broiler always brings out a great center-piece, mostly pork and sometimes chicken and seafood. Pork belly is first boiled with pepper and other seasoning until tender, better to do this the day before. Then into the turbo broiler for around 45minutes or until the skin is crisp and brown and unto the serving table garnished to the occasion.
