I never miss having a taste of lechon whenever I am in Cebu. Though this whole roasted pig can be found in almost every corner of the country, Cebu is one of the few places which can pride itself as among the lechon capitals of the Philippines. Be it the native and original recipe or new and gourmet recipes like this one from Zubuchon - lechon is everywhere in Cebu City. It's a pizza and shawarma in one - a pizzawarma! Served at Gab's Pizzawarma snack shop in Santa Barbara, Iloilo, is basically a pizza in a cone. That got my attention first to find this novelty item close to home rather than in the city. So an on the spot meryenda has us visit Gab's place located along Roosevelt Street. Pizza is their specialty, this pizza in cone is a novelty and  they serve other snack items like burgers, " silogs " and more. So we got the All Meat Tops and Pepperoni as they are among the more popular pizza variants... After around 20 minutes, they came not quite like what's on the poster but still looking and smelling appetizing. When Anthony Bourdain's CNN show entitled PARTS UNKNOWN featured Jollibee, it showcased Halo-halo, Little Big Bite Spam sandwich and Aloha Burger. But it was the burger that made an impact so big that Jollibee brought it within weeks of the airing.  Though only for a limited time, it brought memories of the popular burger having two patties, bacon and one pineapple slice that gave the "Aloha"!
