In time for the Holidays, The Promenade at Days Hotel Iloilo introduces 10 brews and booze that will tickle the beverage fantasies of its guests with its wide variety refreshingly delicious concoctions. Divided into alcoholic and non-alcoholic variants, each comes with a a twist that will certainly make the Yuletide celebration more festive. Together with the Iloilo Bloggers, we enjoyed an afternoon tasting all these brews and booze, comparing drinking notes and sharing our what we enjoyed the most.  Let's start with the Non-Alcoholic line-up and my favorite is the Christmas EggNog (a concoction of fresh milk and pasteurised raw eggs) which can be served hot or cold - I prefer the latter. Hot drinks include the Red Velvet Choco (a whipped cream topped hot drink version of the well-loved cake) and S'Mores Hot Cocoa - chocolates, Grahams and marshamallow you can gulp! There's a reason why I found myself early at The Promenade at Days Hotel Iloilo last Valentine's Day. I had to capture the essence of Love Day through their indulgent dessert station - and it came out sweeter than words. So how to start a month the month of Love in terms of gastronomy? I didn't have to try hard as they come on their own terms.After the revelry of Dinagyang, the next big celebrations in Iloilo are the Chinese new Year, Jaro Candelaria Feast and Paraw Regatta. And it was on the mid celebrations (Jaro Fiesta) that February gastronomy marked its start.  I went to two fiestas during Candelaria - the rainforest inspired set up at the Jamerlan residence and one at Afrique's Jaro, where the restaurant business all began. But in between I just got a call informing me of a photoshoot happening at Days Hotel Iloilo and when I got there it was cakes, cakes and cakes all over. A few hours ago, Filipinos marked the start of the nine-day ritual known as Simbang Gabi. And attuned to this tradition, Days Hotel Iloilo concocted a special breakfast buffet to give Ilonggo early morning mass goers a gastronomic upstart for ten days - Misa de Gallo Breakfast Buffet .  Starting 5am today until Christmas Day, The Promenade at Days Hotel Iloilo served a one of a kind breakfast buffet that goes well with the Filipino Christmas mass tradition.
