A plateful of favorites for breakfast

Having breakfast is one of the many good ways to start your day. And it's even better when you have your favorites in one plate. Here's a plate full of my favorites; corned tuna, fried boneless dilis, fried banana and hardboiled egg . I even had another plate of boneless dilis and miniature dilis with tomatoes. Now this is really breakfast!

Boneless dilis "hinanggop"

A classic Filipino breakfast combo is fried dilis mixed with tomato and onions slices locally known in Ilonggo as " hinanggop ". Really an appetizer but almost beocming a breakfast item for some people. This one makes use of boneless dilis .

Hanggop in "egg cups"

Hanggop is a relatively new term for me. It was in Weekend Pastime that I got to know what it really is; just fried balingon mixed with tomatoes and onions . I already have a blog entry for hanggop under a different term but seeing it on the table today was too tempting not to blog. But I had to make it different so I just placed them in hardboiled egg (white) cup. I also ended up making a kalo-kalo (fried rice) with leftover hanggop , hardboiled eggyolks, seasoning and my favorite of the moment, sesame oil. Everything just went its way and I ended with another plated meal. Those shrimps were just for decoration plus I added some calamansi juice concentrate to have some variety in flavour. So just enjoy what I already did and had today.
