Iloilo Butterscotch Guide

Proven and “tasted”, butterscotch is the top pasalubong item from Iloilo. Ironically not a home grown item like piaya or barquillos. Pandan flavoured pichi pichi from Sweet Nes

Never been a fan of this cassava dessert before I tasted the one from Amber's in Makati City, which they say, and I agree, is the best. Since then I also tried other brands and discovered Arni Dading's. It's their cheese topped pichi pichi that blew me away. Here's a local pichi-pichi, a pandan flavoured one from Sweet Nes. At 30 pesos per pack its already a bargain. I missed the cheese-topped, so I made one using the above pichi pichi.

Butterscotch 4 you

I bought four different brands of butterscotch last Sunday to continue my quest for the best one in Iloilo City. It was another butterscotch galore as I tested and tasted each brand not to mention having another photo session. Starting with the one in yellow and clockwise Delifranz, Panaderia de Molo, Molo County and Sweet Nes There will be separate entries for each brand with more photos and reviews.
