Egg tarts from Lapaz Bakeshop

It isn't my first time to try these mouthwatering, delicious and very affordable egg tarts from Lapaz Bakeshop. Good thing they have a branch in Santa Barbara, Iloilo that I can satisfy my cravings anytime. But I seemed to have forgotten about them but  quick sidetrip today reminded me of their sumptuous existence.  For only 7 pesos a piece, one can have a bite of these delicious piece of heaven. Without much thought today, I ordered 10 pieces and after my usual clicks and flashes, it was then I remembered the slight downside of these tarts. They are too sweet. Very sweet that each bite is like a "conjuring diabetes". But they are so good and addicting that only those with strong will power can say "stop". Glad I am one of them, having the self control. But that's after finishing 4 pieces!  On the bright side, I would have finished all the 10 pieces in not time. Now, this could be my bad luck this Friday the 13th... but on a rather very sweet note.

Bay-ad

This is among the most curious looking shellfishes as unlike others, it is very flat as if there's nothing inside. But when grilled, out comes a nice aroma that tickles your nose that makes you want to have a taste.    Normally bay-ad shells are gathered for its tasty meat, the meat is only around 10% of the total body weight. Usually the shell is broiled to extract the meat. After extraction the empty shell is thrown away or discarded. It seems that the shell have no more use because of its irregular shapes and becomes brittle after broiling. From Tumandok Crafts .

All-Beef Lapaz Batchoy at Netong's at the Shops at Atria

A new branch deserves something new to offer and Netong's had just that - an all beef version of the famous Lapaz batchoy. Only available at their branch at the Shops at Atria, this all beef batchoy is an off-shoot of the pork-liver-innards concoction the original Lapaz batchoy is famous for. But nonetheless it still has the aroma and taste of the noodle dish Ilonggos crave and rave. Try some now - only at Netong's at the Shops at Atria! Always full-packed day or night.
