Now what are these black and white thingies doing in a food blog? These are called QR Codes - that's for Quick Response Codes which are an improvement for the usual bar codes. First used in the automotive industry, it has now found so many uses that includes web applications like a direct link to webpages via smartphones.
Using these codes for my blog will provide direct access to a specific post I want to highlight. To use these codes, you must download a QR code reader app (like NeoReader) into your smartphone. Then with a wi-fi connectivity, just open the application (it will turn on your camera) and scan the code. Just try to focus the code into the screen and the app will just vibrate if it has correctly scanned. Then it will open a browser page that will show a blogpost compelet with literature, photos and videos about the subject.

These will become an e-tour guides that will make Iloilo City among the first to offer digital tourism as these codes will be virtual guides to tourists who will visit the city and explore it's attractions.
