Egg tarts from Lapaz Bakeshop

It isn't my first time to try these mouthwatering, delicious and very affordable egg tarts from Lapaz Bakeshop. Good thing they have a branch in Santa Barbara, Iloilo that I can satisfy my cravings anytime. But I seemed to have forgotten about them but quick sidetrip today reminded me of their sumptuous existence.

For only 7 pesos a piece, one can have a bite of these delicious piece of heaven. Without much thought today, I ordered 10 pieces and after my usual clicks and flashes, it was then I remembered the slight downside of these tarts. They are too sweet. Very sweet that each bite is like a "conjuring diabetes".

But they are so good and addicting that only those with strong will power can say "stop". Glad I am one of them, having the self control. But that's after finishing 4 pieces! On the bright side, I would have finished all the 10 pieces in not time. Now, this could be my bad luck this Friday the 13th... but on a rather very sweet note.

K.B.L. or Kadyos, Baboy, Langka is the ultimate favorite dish of most Ilonggos. It is also one of the most missed native dishes as kadyos and the souring ingredient, batwan , are hard to find when outside of the Ilonggo region.
