Located in the Maravilla Enterprises Inc. compound in Lapuz, Don Rite has lots to offer it patrons and first time customers. You want sausages? They have more than 15 to choose from including German Bratwurst, Smoked Kielbasa, Smoked Cheese Krainer, Cervelat, and Hungarian among others. They also have gourmet longganisa and a chili con carne sausage. 
They also have other meat products like assorted hams, meatloaf, salami, pepperoni and pork barbecue ribs. Breads and condiments also form part of their gourmet treats. Choose from their line up of herbed whole wheat and plain white bread as well as chutneys and assorted liver spreads.

Their main branch is located in Lapuz, which is the first side street when you turn left after the Muelle Loney bridge near the Iloilo Capitol. To make it more convenient for grocery shopping, Don Rite products are sold at Iloilo Supermart at The Atrium and Marymart Mall. These are also sold at the Tinukib Pasalubong Center in Pavia and Don Rite's branch at Villa  Francica Arcade along the highway in Santa Barbara, Iloilo.

Ultimate Ilonggo Favorite: KBL Kadyos, Baboy, Langka

K.B.L. or Kadyos, Baboy, Langka is the ultimate favorite dish of most Ilonggos. Lauya nga Pata sang Baboy

It was a typical fiesta scene in a barrio that I got to taste this cholesteroliffic and delicious pork dish. I can still vividly remember that decades old gastronomic memory - very tender and almost fall of the bone pata, vivid orange sour and sticky broth, large chunks of unripe  langka;  all in one big large  kaldero !  And it's been really a while since I've tried to recreate that taste memory and a few days ago, it was worth another try.
