One of my simplest and most loved Century Tuna recipes, the canned tuna sinigang actually resulted from my experiments before. Tired of eating plain canned tuna, I decided to steam it with vegetables and season a bit. It was kangkong leaves that time and even though the kangkong added a new dimension and texture to my usual tuna meals, it still was plainly boring.
I ran out of seasoning, one time, that I decided to try using sinigang powder. It resulted to my first recipe that even my coworkers loved - it is not a home made recipe but an office made one (lol). Right then it was always a tuna sinigang when things get boring. Sometimes, just a simple with green leafy vegetables or at time, made it more look like a sinigang complete with radish, string beans and eggplant on top of kangkong leaves. This one is a moderately simple one with just kangkong leaves and string beans with sili as garnish. But this is the more visually appealing and appetizing one to date. Not only looks good but tastes good too. Not only that preparation is easy just boil the veggies in sour broth, neatly arrange them in a bowl then place canned tuna. Century Tuna's solid/chunk variety in water or oil is perfect for the recipe.Just words of advice, place the canned tuna last in order to make a good presentation. Do not mix them in the sour broth for you'll end up with an unappealing tuna flakes sinigang. You might lose your appetite instead of having one.
