Native restaurants abound along the stretch of Villa beach in Iloilo City. Aside from the seafood galore one might expect, this part of the city is also known as the lechon capital of Iloilo. The best way to see, taste and feel the gastronomic delight of the area is on a Sunday morning as rows and rows of stalls and restaurants display and sell their lechon, whether baboy or manok. as they all get ready to satisfy every craving. Just enjoy this feast for the eyes from Erning's!
Erning's famous lechon baboy
Erning's Manukan and Seafoods is one such restaurant along this strip. Only outshone by the (more) popular Tatoy's and Breakthrough, Erning's is considered to be the quiet "third" in the gastronomic competition of the area. I haven't been to Erning's but usually it is where we order our lechon baboy to be served during special occasions at home. Hopefully I could troop over there one day.
