It was a scorching Friday afternoon but nonetheless I attended a tea party organized by Coffeebreak to unveil its latest and upcoming products. Together with members of the Iloilo Bloggers Inc. and local broadcast station, GMA TV 6 Iloilo, it was afternoon filled with sandwiches, cakes, cookies, pasta and of course, tea.
Held at the 2nd level of Bauhinia Filipino Cuisine restaurant at The Avenue, Coffeebreak gave us a taste of their latest menu additions and a foretaste of what patrons can expect in the next few days when some of these will be officially launched.
It was an invitation for an afternoon tea so naturally, the drink was the centerpiece. In six refreshing flavours, Coffeebreak’s Gourmet Tea line up comes in Peach Melba, Rose, Savanna, Gourmet Apple, Easter Flower and Summer Fun. They are now available in all branches and served hot or iced upon request.
Filling us up was a selection of mini cold sandwiches - Tuna Dill, Beef Pastrami, Chicken and Egg and Club. The sandwich range was launched few months ago to add more foodstuffs in their menu. Complementing them were the dainty coconut cookies and the scrumptious raspberry hazelnut biscotti. To be launched on November 15, 2010 is a variety of cake slices and new pasta. The slices come in Banana Chocolate Chip, Carrot and Orange Poppy Seed cake variants while Creamy Chicken Pesto will be added to their pasta menu.
