Gone in a few minutes

Fresh from the fridge, a yellow watermelon quarter for my midnight snack!

Eats today

Laswa and fried fish Chicken afritada

Toasted round cakes

More commonly known as mamon tostado, these toasted round cakes maybe taken for granted to prefer more famous pasalubong items yet they are also equally good buys.

Broas from Theresa's Bakeshop

Always the brand of choice when we make ice(d) box(ed) cake at home eversince. I never tasted nor seen any homemade refrigerator cake using any other brands. Mainly because it is more porous than most brands that makes it more like of a hardened chiffon cake rather than being a "cookie" and that makes it ideal since it can absorb more cream. But even on its own I find this one a treat since it is soft and almost melts in your mouth. This is just an update since my first entry had pictures that didn't give justice to this broas.

Goodies from Rosy's Delicacies

If there's one product that stands out from this shop, it would be their pinasugbo. Thanks to IMPRESARIO of SSC for this set of photos. Incidentally, his in-laws own Rosy's Delicacies.

Simple pleasures

I just love fresh fruit mixes like this banana and mango slices. Another addiction of my is this tempura snack. So delicious that this big pack disappears in minutes.

Its my turn to play with food!

I've been playing with food in some of blogposts but those were for my nephew so it's justifiable. Now having took home some goodies from our recent afternoon snacking at Natie's house, I can't help but "play" with the chocolate cake, nuts and chocolates (again).

Mangoes from Guimaras

It was more than a treat to have these so-called sweetest mangoes in the world form part of our afternoon snack at Natie's house. They may look sourly pale but they were really dripping with sweetness.
