It was the last day before expiration of a pack of foccacia bread we bought from JD Bakeshop. But since nobody is eager to eat it, I toyed with the idea of toasting.
After cutting it into semi bite size pieces, I saw an opened can of condensed milk in the fridge and without giving it much thought, I poured some of it over the bread. To make my experiment more exciting, I dusted it with nutmeg powder.
And off it went inside the over for around 15minutes. When it was finally done, it smelled really good when I took it out from the oven. But I got to taste it much later since I have to have my obligatory photosession.
It tasted weird at first, imagine foccacia and condensed milk. But it turned out to be addicting since it was crunchy in the outside but soft and chewy inside. Plus the fact that the condensed milk and nutmeg combo really was good. I did finish all the pieces in just one sitting. But an afterthought came, this could as well be my own version of biscotti, one made with a short cut.
This experiment opened a lot of possibilities.
