


And it didn't fail. In fact it was much better the one I had before. Much creamier and the essence of coconut can truly be tasted (and smelled too). This type of bingka is different from most since it doesn't have those coconut strips one expects but instead little bits of semi-matured coconut. They don't used buko strips but those locally referred to as lahin, if Im not mistaken.

I really enjoyed this surpsing treat today though I sitll miss their little bingkas which in turn taste sort of different from this big one despite the fact they come from the same mixture. Maybe I'll just drop by Jaro Plaza soon for good thing it's available year-round and I dont have to travel 4 hours up north. Now that was really a Good Friday!
