I would not have given Green Mango's Pancit Canton much thought or even order one if not for the fact that this particular dish is among the Top 10 Pancit Cantons in the country according to the Sooo Pinoy Campaign of UniLever Food Solutions, The Philippine Daily Inquirer and The Department of Tourism.
So one afternoon I decided to check this one out at Green Mango along Valeria Street (their first branch). I wasn't expecting that much despite that recognition for I've tried their Pancit Palabok before and I didn't quite liked it.

But the pancit canton was surprisingly good. Nothing spectacular though but it was more than I expected it to be. Everythinf was balanced from the mixture of the sahog to the quantity of the pancit plus the taste of each complemented the other. Itcame in visually appealing unlike most pancit cantons whichare just "thrown in". Here you can actually see the presentation for a regular serving - it wasn't prepared for a photoshoot or for advertising purposes.
I enjoyed that afternoon that I canbe able to blog about this pancit canton. So was it really worthy to be part of the Top 10? Well I have a limited taste testof of the pancit cantons in the country even just the top in the list but I really liked this pancit canton - whether it was in the Top 10 or not.
