Another gastronomic destination in the making is The Grand Tower along Iznart Street. You won't miss this place since it's located inside a building that can be seen as far as Guimaras - lol. Greeting Ilonggos as they enter the The Grand Tower is Turo-turo Express; a modern version of the Pinoy foodstall wherein one just "points" the food items he wants.
Nice interiors greet diners as they either have their lunch or snack or move further ahead at the other restaurants in the building. Soon to open is the Grand Palace Cuisine, a KTV, a function/ballroom and some suites.
Aside from the meryenda staples such as pancit, sio pao and sio mai, Turo-turo Express also serves a variety of dishes especially for lunch such as the classic Ilonggo cuisine KBL (kadyos-baboy-langka), bakareta, callos and crab relleno. They even have an ice cream cart for those who wanting to try native ice cream.
As it is only the beginning, expect more gastronomics delights to come from Turo-turo Express and The Grand Tower in the upcoming days. Hala bira-bira!
