I met up with a former officemate in this modern Italian restaurant at SM Megamall. Surely I have read about this for sometime yet for some reasons all my planned trips before never materialized. Good thing fate brought us here that day.

If I were to compare Amici to an Iloilo restaurant, it would be Afrique's, for both mainly serve Italian specialties. Our lot included a seafood pasta, pizza, fried cheese and a liter of bottled juice.

Serving as "appetizer" was this deep fried mozarella (cheese) topped with tomato sauce. It's a prelude to a pizza or a tomato based pasta.
But our pasta was olive oil based with scallops, shrimps and clams named spaghetti white vongole e gamberetti. A filling yet light pasta with almost a seafood galore.

And finally a four cheese pizza. Just a simple pizza that complemented our other two orders and that made this afternoon snack last until the night. All in all, the experience was great from the food and ambiance plus of course the recoonecting with a former colleague that brought back memories.
