This brand is still new for me and I must say they were inspired by two of the best selling products of of the more famous Biscocho Haus since Rgies signature products, I presume, are butterscotch and yema.
Another one of those better packaged pasalubong, they have this very inviting caramel colored pack that reveals individually sealed bars.
Their butterscotch smells good and really looks very inviting plus the fact that it has this "crisp" due to being packed airtight. The flavour of, what else, butter is very "overwhelming" and tends to make it oily throughout but still taste good.
In order to be more competitive, they were the first to introduce varieties in their butterscotch, where Biscocho Haus then followed suit. Among these variations are mango chips and choco chips and oats, where it originally it was just cashew nuts. For Christmas season 2008, you have more flavors to choose from, such as walnuts, almonds, and dates. (thanks to an anonymous comment)
They even made to the December 2007-January 2008 issue of Food magazine.
Also try Rgies yema.
