A simple dish named after a variety of gabi (yam) used in cooking. It also has takway, coconut milk and local snails known as bago-ngon. I've grown up with this dish though cant be sure if I liked it then as much as I like it now. If not for the carinderia beside our house, I may not have remembered this dish.
Found in almost all occasions like fiesta, birthdays, reunions and others, Ilonggos really love valenciana because most if not all have grown accustomed of having it in special gatherings at home.
