Bichocoy is a deep fried, sugar-rolled and log shaped dough but when shaped as circle with a hole at the center, it eventually becomes a doughnut. Surprised?Sweet Treats of Amigo Hotel and Tinapayan offer this treat aside from neighbourhood bakeshops where I got this one.
I grew up knowing this as half moon. A crumbly cookie that has no special ingredient or filling yet has this (crescent) moon shape that usually gets one's attention. Figuratively, it's not really shaped as the half phase of the moon but when you consider the part-whole relationship of its shape, then being "half" is almost right.
